Fiber Optic Cable Factory for African Projects
FTTH Indoor Drop Cable

Pre Connectorized Indoor FTTH Drop Cable

Factory-terminated indoor FTTH drop assemblies for the final connection inside buildings. Specify each connector, finished length and the building cable requirement before ordering. For African last-mile deployments, confirm how assemblies reach the installation team and where each connection is protected from dust and rain. Group lengths by work area, identify the local box/ONT interface and specify a sealed housing where the connection is exposed.

Cable construction

General selection reference

The values, options and construction details below are general selection references, not an approved specification for this model. They do not confirm suitability or availability for an order. Final parameters and construction must be confirmed in the quotation and agreed technical documents before ordering.

ConnectorsSC / LC / FC / ST / MPO / E2000 and other interfaces can be customized; confirm the exact connector and polish at each end.
TerminationOne or both ends, identical or different interfaces by order; MPO fibre count, pin gender and polarity require separate confirmation.
Finished lengthCustom lengths; quote quantity for each length and agree connector-to-connector measurement and tolerance.
Fibre selectionConfirm fibre type and count; G.657A1 / G.657A2 and 1 / 2 / 4 fibres are selection options, subject to the assembly drawing.
Cable constructionIndoor jacket, colour and strength members by specification; confirm LSZH/PVC and the required fire/smoke test classification.
Optical acceptanceConfirm insertion loss, return loss, wavelength, test method and report requirement in the order. IEC 61300-3-4 is an attenuation measurement reference, not a universal acceptance limit.
Mechanical limitsTensile load, bend radius, dimensions and temperature depend on the selected cable; use the approved specification, not the connector type.
PackingIndividual coil/bag, length label, end identification, carton quantity and OEM marking by agreement.

Check wall/conduit openings before ordering. A bend-insensitive fibre does not remove the cable bend-radius limit, and LSZH alone is not a fire-performance classification.

RFQ: send one line for each assembly

  1. End A and end B: connector type, APC/UPC where applicable, one or two terminated ends.
  2. Fibre type/count and cable model or required construction.
  3. Finished length, measurement reference, tolerance and quantity per length.
  4. Route, entry opening and installation method; check that the protected connector can pass.
  5. Required insertion/return loss, wavelength, inspection and test records.
  6. Labels, individual packing, accessories, destination and required delivery date.
How should assemblies be allocated to field teams?

For African last-mile deployments, confirm how assemblies reach the installation team and where each connection is protected from dust and rain. Group lengths by work area, identify the local box/ONT interface and specify a sealed housing where the connection is exposed.

What protection must be checked at the installation point?

Check wall/conduit openings before ordering. A bend-insensitive fibre does not remove the cable bend-radius limit, and LSZH alone is not a fire-performance classification.

Can route lengths be ordered individually rather than as one standard size?

No. Custom lengths are available. The quotation should list each finished length, its quantity, tolerance and measurement reference.
